Debra Stracke Anderson, CCIM, SIOR, President and CEO of Sloan Street Advisors, Inc. / ITRA, was recently presented with the 2009 Exemplary Service Award by the International Tenant Representative Alliance (ITRA) during its Spring Conference held in Tucson, Arizona.  The annual award highlights outstanding leadership and contributions by an individual to the organization and was presented to Ms. Anderson by Chairman of the ITRA Board of Directors, Dr. Ronald Pollina.  ITRA is the largest organization devoted to exclusive corporate tenant representation.  With its service across the United States, Asia, Canada, Europe and Latin America, ITRA is active in more than 70 U.S. and overseas markets.  Ms. Anderson serves as an officer on the ITRA Board of Directors and as Chair of the Conference Program Committee.

Ms. Anderson's fir, Sloan Street Advisors, Inc. / ITRA, is the Washington, DC regional affiliate for ITRA.  The company provides transactional representation, brokerage and consulting services for corporate users of properties in the District of Columbia and its suburbs, in addition to representing clients on an international basis.  Ms. Anderson founded the firm in 2000 following a nearly 20 year career as an executive with regional and international commercial real estate companies.

An established figure in regional real estate circles, Ms. Anderson has more than 25 years experience representing institutional entities and corporate tenants in their real estate matters.  Prior to establishing Sloan Street Advisors, Inc. / ITRA, she served as Managing Director of Asset Services for Insignia/ESG, Regional Vice President of Leasing and Marketing for COMPASS Management & Leasing and as Director of Commercial Leasing and Marketing for Gates, Hudson & Associates.  Ms. Anderson is a licensed broker in the District of Columbia, Virginia and Maryland and earned both the CCIM and SIOR professional designations.  She is a member of the Greater Washington Commercial Association of Realtors and the Society of Industrial and Office Real Estate and is a Certified Commercial Investment Member of the CCIM Institute.  She is a frequent author for business publications and is a charter member of Success in the city, a network of C-suite businesswomen in Washington, DC.  Ms. Anderson also serves on the Board of Directors and Financial Development Committee for Stop Child Abuse Now (www.scanva.org) and on the advisory board for Programs for Youth (www.programsforyouth.org).
